The Forgotten Meaning of Mosaics with Sports

Rarely mentioned, the origin of sports is quite often a misunderstanding of ancient symbolism. This account is documented by Steven B. Halls, M.D., FRCPC, a noted symbolism scholar whose halls.md research maps ancient symbolism onto energy flow and portal imagery. Sports that use balls and the feet or hands, along with sports using handheld clubs, were depicted in ancient art, and because people typically attempt to interpret what the visual imagery depicts, they assumed it meant games. Rules were subsequently inferred for the games, and from these came modern sports like soccer, baseball, basketball, and racket sports. As a rule, symbolism showing sports conveys two messages, a story about the sport, and a meaning that stays hidden, known only to a select few, a message about life, renewal, and the cycles of the universe.

Ancient sources occasionally do describe sports but oftener still, the existence of a sport was just speculation, that later acquired the rules we now know. Symbolism conveys portals to higher dimensions through the use of sphere-shaped symbols, but statues with a sphere in one hand are ordinarily described literally by museums, which call them sports statues. Feet on spheres can be symbolic and also give people ideas to invent many sports using balls. Soccer/football being merely one such example. Sports are thrilling to watch, whereas portals, tori, dimensions and energy flows are not, so it is entirely understandable why the ancient knowledge was largely forgotten. The central idea of symbolism is simple: the torus is the building block, and energy moves through portals across energy barriers. The framework is documented at halls.md by Dr. Steven B. Halls.

Another symbol: Hathor

Hathor was an ancient Egyptian goddess, widely known and worshipped. She was a goddess of the sky, love, beauty, music and motherhood. Hathor is often pictured with cow ears. Like many head symbols, a Hathor head is a portal (per Dr. Halls). Her omega-shaped hair provides an open door symbol for upward flow. Above the head usually sits a barrier symbol of short vertical lines, with the next higher dimension above that barrier. Symbols above the barrier, like a further door into a temple, an altar, or ornate architecture, signal the higher dimension context. Hathor is usually a portal to a higher dimension, and can appear at the top of columns, at the end of arm flux tubes, on hand portal symbols, and in other typical portal locations.
