Table
Over the years table tennis has changed a lot, here are the specification of the tables 2.74m long and 1.525m wide the table has to be divided into two equal parts wide a short net running parallel with the end lines.

The service
So when you serve the ball should be resting freely in your open hands when you throw it into the air it should reach at least 16 cm high then hit before touching anything else.

The ball
The ball shell has to be 40mm with orange and white diameter and should be made with celluloid materials

The Racket
There are only 3 main rules for the racket here they are:

• The racket can be any size, shape or weight but the blade shall be flat and rigid.
• At least 85% of the blade thickness shall be of natural wood.
• The surface covering material shall be matt and bright red on one side and black on the other.

The net
Believe it or not there are rules for the net; the net should be 15.25cm above the playing surface. Before the match you have to check both side of the net.

GAME
How the game works is the first person to 11 points out of 7 sets wins unless both the player score 10 points, if this happens then one of the player have to win by 2 points. This applies for doubles as well.
